NESCGS is a group of like-minded classical guitar players based in Aberdeenshire who have come together to broaden the awareness, understanding and appreciation of the classical guitar in Aberdeenshire and the North East of Scotland.

The society is holding meetings this year at Queens Cross Church, at the junction of Albyn Place and Queens Road in the West end of Aberdeen city centre please see "events page" (link above) for more info and directions

The core activities of the society will be 'Society Nights' where members will be encouraged to perform solo and ensemble pieces, as well as participate in a guitar orchestra. Invited performers and knowledgeable speakers will also feature at some meetings. Visitors and guests are welcome to come along and enjoy the music at the meetings. The society intends to purchase music for the use of its members.

NESCGS aims to attract members of all abilities from Aberdeenshire and the north east of Scotland. We encourage players of any ability to come to our meetings where they will receive a warm welcome in an encouraging, uncompetitive environment.
